Solo contaminado.
The control of weeds in young coffee is difficult due to the limited amount of registered herbicides. Recently a new herbicide has been launched, indaziflam, which can be efficient in the pre-emergent management of young coffee. Therefore, this dissertation was proposed to study the use of indaziflam in young coffee, being divided into two chapters. The first aimed to evaluate the interaction of indaziflam with soil with the addition of organic compounds, using the main organic compounds applied to the soil, through a bioindicator plant (soybean), which would accuse the possible sorption of the herbicide in the organic fraction and inactivation of the molecule , in addition to evaluating the interference of indaziflam in the root growth of the newly transplanted coffee tree, through soil contamination and direct contact of the roots with contaminated soil. The second chapter aimed to evaluate the efficiency of indaziflam on weed control by species and the possible effects on the vegetative growth of young coffee. It is concluded that the application of organic materials to the soil: cattle manure, chicken manure, coffee straw and coffee straw + cattle manure does not reduce the action of indaziflam (75 g ha -1 ia), to the point of preventing harmful effects on soybean germination. Furthermore, it has been observed that contamination of the soil with indaziflam does not cause visible damage to the aerial part of the young coffee tree, at 60 days after contamination, however, indaziflam reduces the root dry matter mass of the young coffee tree, even in low doses (3.125 g ha -1 of ia). It was found that doses of 25 to 100 g ha-1 ia and 50 to 100 g ha-1 ia of indaziflam promote satisfactory control until 120 days after application in irrigated and dry conditions, respectively and the application of indaziflam does not influence the vegetative growth of young coffee until 210 days after application of the herbicide. Keywords: Herbicide. Injuries. Contaminated soil.
