BALANÇO HÍDRICO DOS ANOS AGRÍCOLAS 2008/2009 E 2009/2010 PARA ÁREAS CAFEEIRAS NO MUNICÍPIO DE PATROCÍNIO, MG

Abstract

Neste trabalho é apresentada uma análise dos balanços hídricos seqüenciais decendiais para os anos agrícolas 2008/2009 e 2009/2010 para Patrocínio – MG, importante município produtor de café arábica na região do Alto Paranaíba, Minas Gerais. Além disso, são destacados também, os principais eventos fenológicos da cultura ocorridos em ambos os anos. Pode-se verificar que o ano agrícola 2008-2009 foi caracterizado por uma temperatura média anual de 21,1°C, um índice pluviométrico de 1.025 mm, uma deficiência hídrica de 260 mm, um excedente hídrico de 352 mm e uma taxa de armazenamento médio de água no solo de 54 mm. Por outro lado, o ano agrícola 2009/2010 foi ligeiramente mais chuvoso e mais quente que 2008/2009, sendo assim caracterizado: Ta=21,4°C, Pa=1.293 mm, EXC=460 mm, DH=145 mm e ARM médio=53 mm. Em Patrocínio, o ano agrícola 2008/2009 foi bem mais seco que 2009/2010, onde prevaleceu a ocorrência de deficiência hídrica na maioria dos meses, à exceção de janeiro, fevereiro e março de 2009. Deficiências hídricas muito elevadas e prejudiciais às lavouras cafeeiras foram verificadas principalmente nas fases de floração, formação de chumbinhos e expansão dos frutos, chegando a 152 mm no período de setembro/dezembro de 2008.

This work presents an analysis of water balance for sequential ten-day periods of the agricultural years 2008/2009 and 2009/2010 for Patrocinio, one important arabica coffee production area of the Alto Paranaiba region, at the state of Minas Gerais. Besides, the most significant events occurring during the developmental stages of the coffee plantation are also presented. Data showed that the 2008-2009 crop year was characterized by an annual average temperature of 21.1 ° C, a pluviometric index of 1,025 mm, a water deficit of 260 mm, a water excess of 352 mm and an average soil water storage rate of 54 mm. On the other hand, the agricultural year 2009/2010 was slightly wetter and warmer than 2008/2009, thus characterized: Ta=21.4 °C, Pa=1293 mm, EXC=460 mm, DH=145 mm and mean ARM= 53 mm. In Patrocinio, the 2008/2009 agricultural year was much drier than 2009/2010, when prevailed a water deficit for most months, except January, February and March 2009. Very high water deficits detrimental to coffee plantations were observed mainly during the flowering, and fruit pinhead and expansion development, reaching 152 mm in the period of September / December 2008.
