Comportamento de progênie F 4 de cafeeiros (Mundo Novo X Catuaí) antes e após a poda

Resumo
O trabalho teve como objetivo avaliar o comportamento de progênies resultantes do cruzamento entre cultivares F 4 de cafeeiros (Mundo Novo X Catuaí), com maior potencial produtivo, antes e após a poda do tipo esqueletamento. Foram avaliados 39 progênies do segundo cruzamento de Catuaí com ‘Mundo Novo’ e as cultivares Catuaí vermelho MG 99, Rubi MG 1192 e Acaiá cerrado MG 1474, utilizadas como testemunhas. Foram feitos dois estudos, sendo um antes e outro depois da poda do tipo esqueletamento. As características analisadas foram: produtividade de oito colheitas, ou seja quatro biênios (1997/1998 a 2004/2005), porcentagem de frutos chochos e classificação quanto à peneira, vigor vegetativo, rendimento de café da roça para café beneficiado, comprimento de brotos e ramos plagiotrópicos, além do número de nós dos ramos plagiotrópicos. Os materiais genéticos mais produtivos, com maiores produtividades na média de oito colheitas (quatro biênios) antes da poda e nos dois grupos mais produtivos na primeira colheita após a poda foram: 1189-12-52-2, 1189-9-5-2, 1189-9-80-3, 1190-2-16-2, 1190-11-8- 4, Rubi MG 1192, sendo que as cinco últimas se destacaram como as mais vigorosas e o genótipo 1189-9-80-3 como o de maior rendimento. Dentre os materiais mais produtivos, os genótipos 1190-2-16-2, 1190-11-8-4 e a cultivar Rubi MG -1192 apresentaram alta percentagem de frutos bem granados antes e após a poda. Os genótipos 1189-9-80-1, 1189-9-80-2, 1189-9-80-3, 1190-2-16-1, além da cultivar Acaiá Cerrado MG 1474, apresentaram superioridade entre os demais com relação a grãos de peneira alta (graúdos), antes e após a poda, além de terem se mostrado altamente produtivas.
This work was carried out with objective of evaluating the behavior of progenies resulting from the crossing of coffee trees F 4 cultivars ('Mundo Novo' X ' Catuaí'), with the greatest productive potential, both before and after the pruning of the framework type. 39 progenies were evaluated, of the second crossing of 'Catuaí' with 'Mundo Novo' and the red Catuaí grows MG 99, Ruby MG 1192 and Acaiá cerrado MG 1474, used as witnesses. The more productive genetic materials, with larger productivities in the average of eight crops (four biennia) before the pruning and in the two more productive groups in the first crop after the pruning were: 1189-12-52-2, 1189-9-5-2, 1189-9-80-3, 1190-2-16- 2, 1190-11-8-4, ruby MG 1192, and the last five stood out as the most vigorous and the genotype 1189-9-80-3 as of larger revenue. Among the most productive materials, the genotype 1190-2-16-2, 1190-11-8-4, and to cultivate Ruby MG -1192 they presented high percentage of fruits well shelled before and after the pruning.
