Two experiments were made in the field for Hypothenemus hampei control. The first one, in 2006-07 and the second one, in 2007-08. In the first it was compared the use of the fungus B. bassiana in two concentrations (0,5 e 1,0 g/L of mixture) in association with kairomone traps with fungus and only with water and detergent, in the harvest season and between harvest season. The results showed that no difference was observed between treatments, for percentage of berry bored, with height attack levels in all treatments that varied, for the percentage of berry borer, in the harvest, from 18,7 to 26,1%. Probably, this height attack levels happens due to the height population pressure of the borer in all the farm, where population were not controlled, and similar attack levels were observed. For the harvest season 2007-08, in other field, two dosages of the fungus were compared (1 e 2 kg/ha of fungus plus rice) and two application ways (spraying and powering), and one treatment with endosulfan. In these study also no difference between the treatments and the control were observed, and between the treatments with the fungus, for the two applications ways and the two dosages and also, for fungus treatments and the chemical (endosulfan). In this harvest season the borer attack was small probably influencing the results. Otherwise, it was clear that the chemical control, like the other treatments, in three applications, did not show a best performance when compared with the fungus.
