With the objective to evaluate the citric acid action in the prevention and the removal of cloggings of tubing of the fertirrigation system, this study was lead. Such had been used some fertilizers generally applied way fertirrigation as: MAP, ferrous sulphate, potassium chloride, super simple super triple and products with intention to cause clogging in the drop-drips: iron hydroxide and aluminum chloride. To break of these fertilizers and products solutions with BIOTECH ® had been prepared * (acid citric 10-2 M + complex enzymatic), e stored in cloudy plastic reservoirs. The free flow of these products under pressure was evaluated in a polyethylene tubing endowed with drop-drips with the next outflow 1.6L/h, spaced of 0.30m. For each treatment a reservoir with mixtures of solutions was used phosphate, iron, among others combined with BIOTECH ®. The flow was chronometered by means of a timer and valves solenoids of low cost. The mixtures had flowed in drop-drips (six drop-drips) for a period of 34 weeks, simulating daily irrigations. Weekly the outflows of the dripped solutions had been taken, which had been evaluated in the end of the experiment. The evaluated parameter was the relative outflow of each treatment, allowing, of this form, to identify to possible alterations in the outflows of the drop-drips (total blockage and/or partial), resultants of the action of each one of the applied solutions. During the irrigations it could be verified that the chemical precipitations had occurred gradually, modifying the coefficients of outflow variation and the uniformities of distribution of the drop-drips. To the end of the test, when good part of the drop-drips met partially obstructed, it was evaluated action of product BIOTECH ® and MAP in the treatments, that they had not been efficient in the prevention of total blockage of outflow of the drop-drips in the used doses.
