The knowledge about the efficiency of the plants in absorbing nutrients from the soil, and using them in growth and development is an important tool in the nutritional management of a culture. Thus the objective of this study was to evaluate the influence of the levels of phosphoric fertilization on the vegetative growth, the accumulation of dry matter and the phosphoric nutritional efficiency, of the thirteen clones of conilon coffee that compose the clonal cultivar 'Vitória Incaper 8142'. For that reason, three completely randomized design was used with factorial distribution 13x4 with tree replications, being the factors: 13 clones that compose the clonal cultivar 'Vitória Incaper 8142' (CV-01, CV-02, CV-03 , CV-04, CV-05, CV-06, CV-07, CV-08, CV-09, CV-10, CV-11, CV-12 and CV-13) and 4 levels of phosphoric fertilization (0% 50%, 100% and 150% of the recommended level of P 2 O 5 for conilon coffee crops). In the experiment were used 10 dm 3 of soil as a substrate, in plastic pots with capacity for 14 L, with all the nutrients provided by salts. At 150 days of cultivation, the following parameters were evaluated: number of leaves (NF), plant height (AL), stem diameter (DC), leaf area (AF), dry weight of roots (MSR), of aerial part (MSPA) and total (MST); and the efficiency rates of absorption, translocation and utilization of phosphorus, and the value of α (alpha). The results show that the thirteen genotypes of conilon coffee that compose the clonal cultivar 'Vitória Incaper 8142‘ present behavior significantly different within each studied level of fertilization with P 2 O 5 for all evaluated parameters and indices. It was also noted that the mean values for the vegetative growth variables (NF, AL, DC and AF), for dry matter (MSR, MSPA and MST) and for the efficiency of phosphorus utilization of the clones increase linearly due to the increase of fertilization with P 2 O 5 . The curves for the efficiency of phosphorus absorption, depending on the levels of P 2 O 5 applied, to the clones of conilon coffee, show fitting to the quadratic model. The efficiency of phosphorus translocation, due to increased levels of P 2 O 5 applied, is different for the clones of conilon coffee, with linear or quadratic characteristics. The efficiency of phosphorus utilization increase with linear characteristic, for clones of conilon coffee, due to increased levels of P 2 O 5 studied. The clones CV-04, CV-05 and CV-08 of conilon coffee show themselves as efficient and responsive to the phosphoric fertilization.
