This work had as objectives to analyze the productivity of the coffee tree under four different irrigation systems, to evaluate the irrigation handling adopted, to establish points of economic leveling between revenue and expenses and to recognize the period of Payback. This work was accomplished in the farm school of Uniube (Uberaba – MG), in a coffee agriculture of the variety “Red Catuaí - 144”, using data of production of the first three crops (2001, 2002 and 2003). The following irrigation systems were installed: central pivot equipped with Lepa emitters, tubes of perforates plastic (TPP) and drips auto compensating and conventional. The values of the expenses were compared to ones of the revenues finding the economic leveling point and elaboration of the cash flows, being from them, determined the period payback, the liquid present value (LPV) and the internal rate of return (IRT). The auto compensating drip presented the largest productivities, followed by central pivot, conventional drip and TPP. Hydric deficits were verified in all treatments. All the analyzed treatments were show to be profitable and the return time of the invested capital was of 6 years to TPP ad 5 years for the other treatments. In the analyzed conditions, the auto compensating drip showed the largest profitability and TPP the smallest. The treatment of the conventional drip, was show to be economically viable, presenting the smallest period of payback and larger TIR being, therefore the best alternative, ahead are the systems by auto compensating drip, center pivot and TPP.
