CULTIVARES DE CAFÉ NO SISTEMA ORGÂNICO EM MINAS GERAIS - SAFRA 2008

Abstract

Este trabalho teve como objetivo avaliar cultivares de café em sistema orgânico, nos municípios de Araponga, Espera Feliz e Tombos, na Zona da Mata Mineira. Utilizou-se a metodologia de pesquisa participativa, contando com a parceria entre a EPAMIG – Zona da Mata, a ONG CTA/ZM, os Sindicatos de Trabalhadores Rurais e a Associação de Pequenos Agricultores e Trabalhadores Rurais. Os experimentos foram instalados em delineamento de blocos casualizados com no mínimo 31 cultivares e três repetições. Utilizaram-se cultivares antigas e melhoradas com diferentes características e origens genéticas. Foram avaliadas, no ano de 2008, as características: vigor vegetativo, intensidade de bicho mineiro (Leucoptera coffeella), severidade de ferrugem (H. vastatrix), severidade de cercosporiose (Cercospora coffeicola), intensidade de seca de ponteiro, porcentagem de frutos com lojas vazias e produtividade. Observaram-se variabilidade para as características avaliadas entre as cultivares nos municípios estudados. Em Araponga, destacaram-se as cultivares: Sabiá – 708, Icatu Precoce IAC 3282, Tupi IAC 1669-33, H 518-3-6-1, Siriema 842 – 2-4, IBC Palma 1, Icatu Amarelo IAC 294, Catucaí Vermelho (20/15 e 24/137), Oeiras MG 6851, Catucaí Amarelo (20/15 e 36/6), Laurina, Catuaí Vermelho IAC 15, Acauã, Ouro Verde IAC H 5010-5, H 514-7-4-5, Paraíso MG H 419-1, IAPAR 59, Catucaí Vermelho 785-15, Canário, Rubi MG 1192 e Catuaí Amarelo IAC 62. Em Espera Feliz, as cultivares Catucaí Amarelo (20/15 e 36/6), Catucaí Vermelho (20/15 e 24/137), IBC Palma 1, Paraíso MG H 419-1, H 518-3-6-1, Sabiá – 708, H 514-7-4-5, Catucaí-Açu e Obatã IAC 1669-20 foram as mais promissoras. No município de Tombos, sobressaíram-se as cultivares: Sabiá 708, H518-3-6-1 e Ouro Verde IAC H 5010. Considerando os três experimentos as cultivares Sabiá 708 e H518-3-6-1 mantiveram-se entre as mais produtivas, provavelmente apresentam uma ampla adaptação as diferentes condições edafoclimáticas. Enquanto que as cultivares menos produtivas foram Maragogipe, Mundo Novo IAC 379-19 e Caturra Vermelho IAC 477. O café por ser uma cultura perene, ainda são necessárias avaliações futuras, considerando pelo menos quatro colheitas, para a obtenção de informações e recomendações de cultivares mais promissoras para o cultivo orgânico.

This work had as objective it evaluates cultivate of coffee, cultivated in organic system, in the municipal districts of Araponga, Espera Feliz and Tombos, in the Zona da Mata (MG). The methodology of research participativa was used, counting with the partnership among the EPAMIG-Zona da Mata, the ONG CTA/ZM, the Rural Labour Unions and Association of Small Farmers and Rural Workers. The experiments were installed in randomized blocks desing with more than 31 cultivars, and three repetitions. They were used cultivars old and new with different characteristics and genetic origins. They were appraised in the year of 2008 the following characteristics: vegetative vigor, incidence of leaf miner (Leucoptera coffeella), of leaf rust (Hemileia vastatrix), brown eye spot (Cercospora coffeicola), pointer dry intensity, percentage of fruits with empty stores and productivity. It was observed different performance of cultivars in each place, enhancing the existence of interaction cultivar x environment. In Araponga, while the cultivars: Sabiá – 708, Icatu Precoce IAC 3282, Tupi IAC 1669-33, H 518-3-6-1, Siriema 842 – 2-4, IBC Palma 1, Icatu Amarelo IAC 294, Catucaí Vermelho (20/15 e 24/137), Oeiras MG 6851, Catucaí Amarelo (20/15 e 36/6), Laurina, Catuaí Vermelho IAC 15, Acauã, Ouro Verde IAC H 5010-5, H 514-7-4-5, Paraíso MG H 419-1, IAPAR 59, Catucaí Vermelho 785-15, Canário, Rubi MG 1192 e Catuaí Amarelo IAC 62, the better productivity. While in Espera Feliz, the cultivars Catucaí Amarelo (20/15 e 36/6), Catucaí Vermelho (20/15 e 24/137), IBC Palma 1, Paraíso MG H 419-1, H 518-3-6-1, Sabiá – 708, H 514-7-4-5, Catucaí-Açu e Obatã IAC 1669-20. In Tombos, the cultivars stood out, Sabiá 708, H518-3-6-1 and, Ouro Verde IAC H 5010. The cultivars Sabiá 708 and H518-3-6-1 they stood alt for they present high productivities in all the appraised municipal districts, and the cultivars Maragogipe, Mundo Novo IAC 379-19 e Caturra Vermelho IAC 477 were low productivities. Considering that it is preliminaries results, are still necessary future evaluations, for least four crops, to obtaining conclusive information and recommendations.
