The national coffee plantation passes by critical moments, giving priority at optimizing of the resources through the correct use of fertilizers, mainly the macronutrients more limits of production more nutrients, nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium. This work was conducted with the aim of evaluating the effect of different sources and doses phosphorus in leaves levels of leaf nitrogen and potassium, and potassium in the soil in cut down coffee tree, cultivate Mundo Novo, line IAC 379-19, with 44 years in a Latosoil Red Eutrophic, the Fazenda Grama in the city of Guaxupé, Minas Gerais. The experiment was installed on November 13th, 2007, in plantation with widen 4.0 x 1.5 m, with two grown plants per hole, according to the experimental marking out of casually blocks, with four replications. It was used as sources of phosphorus, the thermophosphate at doses: 0 (zero), 53,3; 106,5; 213; 426; 852; 1704 kg P2O5 ha-1, and single super phosphate in the dose of 400 kg P2O5 ha-1. Each plot was formed in a line with six holes and is adopted as useful holes the four central plants. At one hundred and twenty, and three hundred and fifty days after the operation were performed collects of leaves and analysis of the levels nitrogen and potassium leaves. At three hundred days it was realized sample colleet soil at different depths to analyze the concentration of potassium in the soil. The results indicated that there was no response to the potassium level of soil in any of the treatments, high doses of P2O5 did not interfere in the absorption of nitrogen and influenced the plant absorb more potassium; and the lowest dose of thermophosphate also increased the absorption of potassium.
