The indiscriminate use of agricultural defensives comes causing damages to ecosystems and the man, who searchs alternative products in the control of illnesses of plants. With the objective to evaluate the effect of the extract of E. malaccensis on the micelial growth of the fungus associates the Coffea canephora had been carried through biological tests with etanolic extract on the fungos Fusarium sp and Penicillium sp to test its activity fungicidal. It was evaluated the micelial growth of the colonies of fungus after 24, 48 and 96 hours of the inoculation. The results had shown that after 96 hours sp had a significant reduction in the micelial growth of Fusarium sp. e Penicillium sp. under the action of E. malaccensis when compared with the respective treatments it has controlled. E. malaccensis the biological tests indicate that presents fungicidal activity on Fusarium sp. e Penicillium sp. New experiments will be lead to evaluate the action of this extract in conidiogênese and viability of the esporos of these fungus.
