This study aimed to evaluate the incidence of coffee leaf miner in agroecosystems management conducted under conventional, organic and organic-mineral in the municipality of Poço Fundo, south of Minas Gerais. To this end, it selected a property that coffee was the three management systems shown, with crops close. Were carried out monthly monitoring of the rust for a period of one year from December 2007 to November 2008. Sampling of leaves to determine the incidence of coffee leaf miner (Leucoptera coffeella) in each production system was conducted in middle third of each plant taken randomly by way zigue-zague characterized in agroecosystems. Ten leaves were collected from the third or fourth pair in each side of the plant, being sampled by twenty coffee agroecosystem, totaling two hundred leaves collected. The leaves were packed in paper bags for further quantification of the disease in the laboratory. In general, all agroecosystems had low infestations of coffee leaf miner despite having received no chemical control for pests. The conventional agroecosystem suffered infestations of less than 5% in all assessments, the organic- mineral did not exceed 8.5% in any monitoring and has the lowest organic infestations among all the systems evaluated, reaching only 2.5% of incidence. It is probably the tall coffee of the Mundo Novo variety, the high rate of foliage plants and the spacing more density, allowed the self-shading of the crop, reducing the sunlight and high temperatures, the weather interfering favorably affecting the development of the pest.
