Resumo
Com o objetivo de analisar o desenvolvimento vegetativo inicial e a adaptabilidade de materiais resistentes à ferrugem na região de Lavras-MG, foi instalado e conduzido um experimento na Fazenda Experimental da Epamig localizada na comunidade do Faria em Lavras - MG. Foram avaliadas 25 progênies desenvolvidas pelos programas de melhoramento do cafeeiro das principais instituições que pesquisam essa cultura no Brasil. O delineamento experimental utilizado foi o de blocos casualizados, com três repetições e parcelas constituídas por 9 plantas. O espaçamento adotado foi de 3,60 x 0,70 m sendo avaliadas seis plantas por parcelas. Foram analisadas as características: diâmetro de caule, número de ramos plagiotrópicos, altura de plantas, número de nós dos ramos plagiotrópicos e comprimento do 1ºramo plagiotrópico. Os resultados obtidos permitiram verificar que houve destaque de progênies para a característica diâmetro de caule, porém para outras características o teste de média não detectou diferença significativa.
This research aimed to analyze the adaptability from material resistant to rust in the region of Lavras-MG, as well as its adaptability. For this purpose it was estabilished and conducted an experiment at EPAMIG Experimental Farm located in Faria community in Lavras-MG. There were evaluated 25 progenies developed by coffee breeding prograns from the main research institutions in this field in Brazil. The experimental design used was random blocks, with three replicates and plots composed by 9 plants. The spacing used was 3.6 x 0.7m, being evaluated six plants per plot. There were analyzed shoot diameter, number of plagiotropic shoots, plant height, number of plagiotropic shoots, plant height, number of plagiotropic shoot node and length of first plagiotropic shoot. The results showed a difference in shoot diameter, although for other characteristic the average test did not detect difference.
