DESENVOLVIMENTO VEGETATIVO DO CAFEEIRO CULTIVADO EM DIFERENTES ARRANJOS POPULACIONAIS, COM E SEM IRRIGAÇÃO

O objetivo da pesquisa foi avaliar o uso da irrigação por gotejamento, em diferentes arranjos populacionais, no desenvolvimento vegetativo do cafeeiro (Coffea arabica L. cv Catuaí), cultivado em Mococa-SP. O experimento foi instalado blocos ao acaso, em esquema fatorial 6 x 2. Os fatores foram seis arranjos populacionais, E1 (1,60 x 0,50), E2 (1,60 x 0,75), E3 (1,60 x 1,00), E4 (3,20 x 0,50), E5 (3,20 x 0,75) e E6 (3,20 x 1,00), subdivididas em irrigadas (I) e não irrigadas (NI). Os parâmetros fitométricos avaliados foram: altura da planta (m), diâmetro da copa (m) e diâmetro do caule (mm). Os dados coletados foram submetidos a análises de variância, pelo teste de Tukey (p>0,05). A altura das plantas de cafeeiro foi afetada tanto pelo arranjo populacional quanto pelo uso da irrigação, havendo maior crescimento das plantas cultivadas nos menores arranjos populacionais. O uso da irrigação proporcionou incremento no diâmetro da copa, especialmente nos fases de maior déficit hídrico. Após setembro de 2009 houve paralisação no crescimento do caule dos cafeeiros cultivados nos diferentes arranjos populacionais e houve efeito significativo da irrigação no diâmetro do caule em dezembro de 2010.
The purpose this study was evaluates the use of drip fertigation in different population arrangements in vegetative development in coffee (Coffea arabica L. cv Catuaí) beneficed and size of grain, in Mococa-SP. The experimental was implemented in randomized blocks, in factorial scheme 6 x 2. The factors were six population arrangements, E1 (1.60 x 0.50), E2 (1.60 x 0.75), E3 (1.60 x 1.00), E4 (3.20 x 0.50), E5 (3.20 x 0.75) and E6 (3.20 x 1.00), divided in irrigated (I) and non-irrigated (NI). Fitométricos parameters were evaluated: plant height (m), diameter (m) and stemdiameter (mm).The data were subjected to analysis of variance, by Tukey’s test (p>0,05). The height of the plants was affected by the arrangement population and by the use of irrigation, with higher growth plants grown in smaller stocks arrangements. The use of irrigation provided an increase in the diameter of the crown, especially in stages higher water deficit. After September 2009 there was paralysis in stem growth of the seedlings grown in different arrangements population and significant effect of irrigation on diameter stem in December 2010.
