In the organic cultivation is not allowed the agrotoxics use and fertilizers of high solubility, being necessary to know the behavior of the coffee cultivars available in the market, in this system. In this way the objective of this research was to evaluate 30 coffee cultivars, cultivated in organic system, in three cities of Zona da Mata (MG): Araponga, Espera Feliz and Tombos. The methodology of participative research was used, counting with the partnership among the EPAMIG/CTZM, ONG CTA/ZM, the Rural Labour Unions and Association of Small Farmers and Rural Workers. The experiments were installed in randomized blocks design with 30 treatments, and three repetitions, comprising 90 plots. The treatments were constituted of old and new cultivars with different characteristics and genetic origins. The productivity was evaluated in the years 2006 to 2009, and the first biennium (B1) corresponded to the years 2006-2007, the second biennium (B2) for the years 2008/2009 and average of four harvests (PROD). It was observed different performance of cultivars in each place, enhancing the existence of interaction cultivar x environment. The highest productivities were found in the city of Espera Feliz and the lowest in the city of Tombos. There was variability of productivity between the 30 cultivars in the organic system coffee in the biennium and the average of four harvests cultivars codes 25, 22, 21 and 11 showed greater adaptability to different environmental conditions.
