A ampliação de áreas de produção de café em sistema orgânico, no Paraná, vem se deparando com o problema de controle de pragas e doenças. Produtos e técnicas alternativas vêm sendo usadas pelos produtores, sem o conhecimento de seu impacto sobre a entomofauna benéfica. O estudo tem por objetivo avaliar o parasitismo do bicho-mineiro, comparativamente, em lavouras mantidas em sistema orgânico e convencional, nas condições da região norte do Paraná. Lavouras dos dois sistemas foram amostradas, coletando-se folhas minadas, levadas ao laboratório, para avaliação da emergência do parasitismo larval, no período de agosto a dezembro de 2006. Oito espécies de parasitóides pertencentes às duas principais famílias de Hymenoptera (três de Braconidae e cinco de Eulophidae) associadas ao bicho-mineiro, foram encontradas. Orgilus sp. (Braconidae) foi a espécie predominante em ambos sistemas, sendo responsável por mais de 80 e 60% do parasitismo nas propriedades com sistemas orgânico e convencional, respectivamente. Entre os eulofídeos destacou-se Proacrias coffeae. Lavouras orgânicas apresentaram índices de parasitismo mais constantes e maiores, em média, com maior diversidade de parasitóides.
Organic coffee system is increasing their area in northern Parana. Growers have difficult in controlling some pests and diseases in this system, applying alternatives products and techniques to this goal without information of impact on beneficial fauna. The objective of this study is to compare coffee leaf miner parasitism in plantation under organic and conventional crop systems. Fields under both systems were inspected and, around a hundred mined leaves, collected to observe the emergence of adults of pest or parasitoids, in the laboratory. Presented data were obtained from August to December of 2006. Eight species of larval parasitoids belonging the two main families of Hymenoptera (three of Braconidae and five of Eulophidae) commonly associated to coffee leaf miner were obtained. Orgilus sp. (Braconidae) was the most important species, responding for more than 80 and 60% of total parasitism in organic and conventional crops, respectively. Proacrias coffeae was the most abundant eulofid species. Organic crops presented higher and more uniform parasitism rates than conventional ones. Diversity of parasitoid species was also higher in organic system, with eight species against five, in conventional fields.
