Resumo
Com a crescente competição no mundo dos negócios, cada vez mais globalizado e levando-se em conta as constantes mudanças no padrão de consumo, a formação de parcerias estratégicas entre compradores e fornecedores, tornou-se uma importante alternativa estratégica. Neste contexto complexo, as organizações buscam obter vantagens competitivas a fim de conquistar mercados internacionais. Embora haja na literatura uma ampla gama de estudos para o setor industrial sobre os estágios da formação de parcerias estratégicas, como são desenvolvidas, tipos, características, fatores de sucesso da parceria, motivos para se formar parcerias estratégicas e seus benefícios, a temática ainda é pouco explorada no contexto do agronegócio. Falta, portanto, uma melhor compreensão sobre quais fatores de sucesso estariam presentes na parceria entre exportadores e produtores agrícolas de cafés especiais. Neste sentido, esse estudo busca conciliar as preconizações sobre os fatores de sucesso em parcerias estratégicas entre compradores e fornecedores no contexto agrícola. Com base no modelo conceitual desenvolvido por Monczka et al. (1998) este trabalho abordará quais são os fatores de sucesso da parceria entre exportadores e produtores agrícolas de cafés especiais da região da Mantiqueira de Minas em quatro dimensões: (i) atributos da parceria; (ii) comportamento de comunicação; (iii) técnicas de resolução de conflitos; e, (iv) processo de seleção de produtos e fornecedores focados na estratégia de cadeia de suprimentos. Para tanto, serão utilizados, respectivamente, métodos de pesquisa quantitativos para produtores agrícolas (questionários) e qualitativos (entrevistas) para os exportadores. Como resultado dessa pesquisa, buscar-se-á evidenciar como as parcerias bem-sucedidas do agronegócio do café especial brasileiro estão relacionadas com cada um dos fatores constantes das quatro dimensões acima elencadas. As implicações do resultado desse estudo podem auxiliar na tomada de decisões estratégicas gerenciais e discussões no desenvolvimento e manutenção da relação de parceria colaborativa entre compradores e fornecedores do agronegócio.
With the increasing competition in the business world, increasingly globalized and taking into account the constant changes in the consumption pattern, the formation of strategic partnership between buyers and suppliers, has become an important alternative strategy. In this complex context organizations seek to obtain competitive advantages in order to conquer international markets. Although there is in the literature for the industrial sector a wide range of studies on the stages of the formation of strategic partnerships, how they are developed, types, characteristics, success factors of the partnership, reasons for forming strategic partnerships and their benefits, the theme is still little explored in the context of agribusiness. It is therefore lacking a better understanding of what success factors would be present in the strategic partnership between exporters and agricultural producers of specialty coffees. In this sense, this study seeks to reconcile the recommendations about the success factors in strategic partnerships between buyers and suppliers in the agricultural context. Based on the conceptual model developed by Monczka et al. (1998) this work will address what are the success factors of the partnership between exporters and agricultural producers of specialty coffees in the region of Mantiqueira de Minas in four dimensions: (i) attributes of partnership; (ii) communication behavior; (iii) conflict resolution techniques; and (iv) selection process of products and suppliers focused on the supply chain strategy. Quantitative research methods for agricultural producers (questionnaires) and qualitative (interviews) for exporters will be used respectively. As a result of this research, it will seek to demonstrate how successful partnerships of the Brazilian special coffee agribusiness are related to each of the factors in the four dimensions listed above. The implications of the outcome of this study can assist in strategic management decisions and discussions in the development and maintenance of the collaborative partnership relationship between buyers and suppliers of agribusiness.
