The injury levels existents to Hypothenemus hampei (Coleoptera: Scolytidae) were determined by empiric. In adittion, are very hardworking and with hight time to evaluations, of the hard adoption. Today, the economic injury level is not considering the qualitative characteristics of the coffee. The use of trap with ethanol, methanol and benzaldehyde are alternatives of a little cost and simple to determine the correct moment to control. Thus, the objective this work was determined the economic injury level to adults of H. hampei with attractive traps. The losses qualitative and quantitative causes by H. hampei were considered in formula economic injury level. Was determined economic injury level to coffee crops in production systems conventional and organic with high and median production. When considered just the quantitative loss by H. hampei the economic injury levels were of 7.9 e 23.7% of fruits borering in coffee plantations of high and median production, respectively. Already in organic coffee plantations of production high and median the economic injury levels were 24.4 and 47.6% of fruits borering, respectively. When considered the losses quantitatives and qualitatives this pest the economic injury levels were 4.3% of fruits borering in the conventional and organic systems. the economic injury level in coffee lantations in flower phase, fruits in chumbinho phase and fruits in expansion phase were the 430, 86 and 29 adults/trap, respectively.
