Rendimento e maturação de frutos do cafeeiro sob diferentes critérios de irrigação e densidades de plantio safra 2003/2004

O objetivo deste estudo foi avaliar o efeito de diferentes regimes de irrigação sobre o rendimento e maturação dos frutos da segunda safra de cafeeiros conduzidos sob cinco diferentes densidades de plantio: 2.500 plantas/ha (4,0x1,0m), 3.333 plantas/ha (3,0x1,0m), 5.000 plantas/ha (2,0x1,0m), 10.000 plantas/ha (2,0x0,5m) e 20.000 pls/ha (1,0x0,5m). Cada densidade de plantio foi submetida a seis diferentes regimes de irrigação, representados por quatro diferentes tensões de água do solo (20, 60, 100, 140kPa) para indicar o momento de início das irrigações, um esquema de irrigações com turno fixo de rega e lâminas calculadas pelo software IRRIGA e uma testemunha sem irrigação. Os maiores rendimentos foram nas densidades de 2.500 e 3.333 plantas/ha (476 e 478) e não houve diferença devido ao regime de irrigação. O menor percentual de verde (10%) foi verificado sem o uso da irrigação, enquanto um valor de 17% foi observado na tensão de 140kPa, e valores de 24 a 27 nos demais regimes de irrigação. O percentual de verde foi de 20% nas densidades abaixo de 5.000 plantas/ha, 23% em 10.000 e 29 em 20.000 plantas/ha.
The objective of this study was to evaluate the effect different irrigation regimes over coffee beans volumetric yield and maturation of the second harvest (2002/03 and 2003/04) from coffee threes growing under five different planting densities: 2500 plants/ha (4.0x1.0m), 3333 plants/ha (3.0x1.0m), 5000 plants/ha (2.0x1.0m), 10000 plants/ha (2.0x0.5m), and 20000 plants/ha (1.0x0.5m). Each planting density was submitted to 6 different irrigation treatments represented by four different soil water tension trigger levels (20, 60 100 and 140kPa) to start irrigations, a fix irrigation interval schedule with irrigation depths calculated by the software IRRIGA, and a control without irrigation. Volumetric yield was higher for the 2 500 and the 3333 plants/ha planting densities ( 476 and 478). No significant difference was observed for the different irrigation regimes. The lowest green bean percentage (10%) was observed under the non irrigated treatments. For the 140 kPa trigger level the green bean percentage was 17%, and values from 24 to 27% were observed for the others irrigated treatments. Green bean percentage increased with planting density: 20% , 23% and 29% under the 5 000, 10 000, and 20 000 plants/ha respectively.
